On March 28, the State Drug Administration held a symposium on innovative development of medical devices, examination and approval reform in Beijing to listen to the opinions and suggestions of enterprises on innovative medical devices related policies, to understand the effect of implementing policies to encourage innovative medical devices, and to study ways of further encouraging innovative development of medical devices. Jiao Hong, Director-General of the State Administration of Pharmaceutical Supervision, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Xu Jinghe, Deputy Director-General, presided over the meeting. Enterprise representatives agreed that in recent years, the State Pharmaceutical Regulatory Department has thoroughly implemented the requirements of the Central Committee of the Party and the State Council on speeding up the reform of the examination and approval system for pharmaceutical and medical devices.
